The New Era Pinstripe Bowl will feature the Kansas State Wildcats against the Syracuse Orange. The game will take place on Dec. 30 at Yankee Stadium in New York City, the Wildcats third visit to New York. The game is unique because of it's location -- Yankee Stadium -- and the Yankees' Hal Streinbrenner ssays he's looking forward to it, due in part to the love his father had for college football.
"We are excited to have the Kansas State Wildcats representing the Big 12 Conference in the inaugural New Era Pinstripe Bowl," said New York Yankees Managing General Partner Hal Steinbrenner. "Throughout his life, my father was a huge fan and supporter of college football, and we are proud to continue the storied tradition of the sport in Yankee Stadium. December 30 will be an unforgettable day for players and fans of Kansas State and Syracuse."
Since the game is at Yankee Stadium, and in New York, I imagine we'll see some elevated media coverage of the game. I consider this a win for the K-State program.
