The Kansas State Wildcats struck first in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium as RB Daniel Thomas took K-State's second offensive play 51 yards for a touchdown giving KSU an early 7-0 lead. It wasn't long before Syracuse responded as Ryan Nassib helped with a great flea-flicker that resulted in a 52-yard touchdown pass.
So the first two scores in this game came from 51 yards out and 52 yards out. Incredible.
Carson Coffman is 4-of-7 for 37 yards, no touchdowns and no picks and Daniel Thomas has seven rushes for 67 yards in all. Nassib has completed 3-of-6 passes for 63 yards while Delone Carter has eight rushes for 49 yards.
It's 7-7 in the first half.
