KU Ticket Scandal Could Get Even Uglier

The reports regarding the ticket scandals surrounding the Kansas Athletic Department are troubling enough. Millions of dollars reportedly exchanged hands and it was all done under-the-radar.

↵

That’s bad. But what could be worse is learning as the investigation goes on who else was involved.

↵

There is zero evidence out there that any players were involved.

↵

….but we’re not ready to rule that out quite yet.

↵

Bill Self reportedly has a relationship David and Dana Pump who have sent several players to KU. Lew Perkins regularly attends the Pumps AAU summer camp.

↵

The Pumps are reportedly the masterminds behind part of the ticket scandals.

↵

Then there’s Roger Morningstar. Bill Self describes him as a friend. Morningstar is the father of current player Brady Morningstar. He allegedly made over $800,000 in the ticket scandal.

↵

Again, there’s no evidence to suggest players were involved or there was point shaving or anything like that. But enough connections and relationships are there to cause some to wonder.

↵

As the investigation goes on, we’ll likely learn the answer to these questions.
