Darrell Stuckey may no longer be a member of the Kansas football team but he's not done receiving honors for his tenure at the University. On Thursday the Big 12 (Can we still call it that?) awarded Stuckey with the Sportsperson of the Year Award.
↵The award is designed to acknowledge an "extraordinary degree of sportsmanship and/or community service during the academic year."
↵↵↵Off the field he was the consummate representative of the athletic department. Stuckey was heavily involved in community service, serving on a number of athletic and campus committees and regularly visiting elementary schools, among a host of other activities.
