Missouri's Michael Dixon Expected To Make A Big Leap In 2010

Steve Megargee of Rivals.com has a list of college basketball players that he feels will make a big leap in 2010. As he says, this isn't a list about the next John Wall, or other incoming freshman, but about players that make a big leap from year one to year two, or year two to year three and so on.

One of those players is Missouri freshman Michael Dixon.

Dixon started eight games and averaged 7.5 points, 1.6 assists, 1.1 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 16.6 minutes as a freshman last season. He stepped up his performance in the postseason, averaging 11.5 points in the NCAA tournament. Dixon should get a chance to build on his postseason momentum as Missouri attempts to replace the departing senior guard tandem of J.T. Tiller and Zaire Taylor.

It's a good sign when your stats rise along with the pressure. I think Mizzou is pretty excited about Dixon's chances next season.

Also on the list? Missouri State's Nafis Ricks.
