Royals second baseman Mike Aviles will go down in franchise history. OK, maybe that's a little dramatic but he did set a new record at Kauffman on Tuesday night.
↵↵↵Thanks to his sterling performance in a 15-7 win on Tuesday, Aviles became the first Royals second baseman in history to collect at least four hits, drive in four runs and score three runs in a game.
↵“That’s kind of cool,” Aviles said. “I definitely didn’t know that. It’s good to be somewhere in the record books.”

A bit obscure? Sure, but well-deserved.
