Royals' David DeJesus On His Way To A Career Year

New, 1 comment

Royals' David DeJesus has been playing very, very well as of late. As we mentioned after last night's game, he has now reached base safely in 14 of his last 18 plate appearances including 11 hits.

↵

After going 4-for-4 last night, he is now batting .329.

↵

His OPS is also 100 points higher than his last career total.

↵

Of course, since he might be nearing a career year the Royals will be faced with the tough question of whether to trade him. There are pros and cons for each side and we'll evaluate those at some point in the future but, as with all players in his situation, it's a simple argument:

↵

Argument to trade him: His value probably won't ever be higher

↵

Argument against trading him: He's playing his best baseball and the Royals aren't a team that can or should be giving up good players.

↵

We'll delve into this a little more in the near future but for now see what SB Nation's Royals Review has to say about DeJesus.
