Kansas City Basketball Player Gets Some National Attention

OK, so this isn't the type of national attention that you were thinking about but a Blue Springs kid is a finalist for the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes Youth Achievement Awards.

Mark Walker is featured on the home page at FrostedFlakes.com, appearing in a basketball uniform and sharing some of the answers that made him a finalist in the competition.

The public can vote for Walker on the Frosted Flakes Web page and the winner of the contest will appear at the 2010 ESPY awards and voting goes through June 22. According to the Kellogg's officials, the award celebrates kids who work hard, eat healthy, stay active and do their best.

And the winner is being decided via an internet vote. You know what that means: LLet's rig that vote to bring home a championship to Kansas City.
