The head cross country coach for Missouri has resigned, according to a press release. 11-year coach Jared Wilmes cited he travel demands as well as his two children as reasons for the move.
↵He's been involved with Missouri for 20 years as a player and a coach with the track and field department. He was a four-time NCAA All-American.
↵↵↵"Jared was always a great competitor, whether in uniform as an athlete or from the sidelines as a coach," McGuire added. "He especially found great joy in beating Kansas. It has been great to have Jared serving by my side on our staff for these past 10 years. I completely respect Jared and the plans he is making for the future for his family."

I like how the press releases mention that he likes beating the Jayhawks. That rivalry will never die (conference realignment or not).
