SB Nation's Royals Review has kind of a running joke going on with Jason Kendall because he plays so much. In fact, no other catcher in the MLB has started as many as him.â†µ
He's started 65 of 68 games -- eight more than the next closest catcher.â†µ
While that's commendable, it's also probably time to give him a break. Though he disagrees, it's possible fatigue could be a factor in his recent four-for-39 slump.â†µ
“He probably needs a day,” Royals manager Ned Yost conceded. “We’ll give him one in the next day or two. I’m planning on Sunday. That would probably be a good day. It’s hot here.”â†µ
