SB Nation's Royals Review has kind of a running joke going on with Jason Kendall because he plays so much. In fact, no other catcher in the MLB has started as many as him.
↵He's started 65 of 68 games -- eight more than the next closest catcher.
↵While that's commendable, it's also probably time to give him a break. Though he disagrees, it's possible fatigue could be a factor in his recent four-for-39 slump.
↵↵↵“He probably needs a day,” Royals manager Ned Yost conceded. “We’ll give him one in the next day or two. I’m planning on Sunday. That would probably be a good day. It’s hot here.”
