Here's a bit of a surprise:
↵The Chargers drafted Darrell Stuckey in the fourth round presumably to begin his career as a backup to safety Kevin Ellison.
↵Ellison, who was arrested over the offseason, ran with the first team during OTAs but the Chargers ended up releasing him in this week.
↵Enter Darrell Stuckey.
↵As it stands now, Stuckey appears to be heading for the starting job in San Diego. This would be a bit of a surprise. I imagine Ellison's arrest had something to do with him being released but I also think the Chargers wouldn't have done it unless they felt they had someone (like Stuckey) to step into that role.
