Brian Bannister And The Royals Shut Out Stephen Strasburg And The Nationals

Not a bad victory at all for the Royals, who hand Stephen Strasburg his first loss as a major leaguer.

I mentioned before the game that Brian Bannister was kind of the forgotten player in this game but at the end, he was the MVP.

Bannister erased memories of Atlanta and Cincinnati and pitched shutout ball.

Joakim Soria came on in the 9th for the save.

Meanwhile, Jose Guillen continued his hitting to 18 games. He was 2-for-4 with the lone RBI.
