Jack Bechta, agent for Chiefs rookie third round pick TE Tony Moeaki, told 610 Sports' Bob Fescoe on Thursday morning that his client would more than likely be in camp on time.
↵↵↵"He's a third round pick," Bechta began. "Any third round pick would be foolish to not get in camp on time. I'm going to fight and make sure he gets a fair deal and what's equivalent to his peers and nothing less. That's my job. That's what I get paid to do.
↵"I have a long history of doing businss with Trip McCracken, their cap manager, and Scott Pioli, who I've done a lot of deals with in New England. I have history there with these guys.
↵"It doesn't mean a deal will get done. We can always agree to disagree. I'm confident he'll be there in time. I'm really excited for this young man. I worked really hard to get him. I think he's going to be a superstar. You guys were wise to pick him up."

Neither the player drafted before or after Moeaki has signed a deal and sometimes agents prefer to have the market set like that.
