Last night at the NBA draft, Xavier, C.J. and father Carl Henry played the part of Kansas City's first family of athletes. Now, according to The Pitch, former Chiefs left tackle John Alt and his family are giving them a run for their money.
↵↵↵Mark passed on a football scholarship at the University of Iowa (where his dad played), and is instead lacing up the skates for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. That seems like a smart move, given his high draft projection. NHL scouts have Mark pegged as the 37th best North American skater prospect in the draft taking place this weekend at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Passing up football for hockey? That's an impressive move, though, I'd be curious what kind of football player he was.
↵Kirk Ferentz (Iowa) is a great coach and specializes in offensive linemen. If he had any talent, I imagine Ferentz would've gotten the best out of him.
