The folks over at Royals Review have been tracking in awe the amount of games Trey Hillman and now Ned Yost have put Jason Kendall in the line-up.
↵At his age, it's questionable as to whether he can handle missing just four of 74 games. Nevertheless, that's what the Royals have done.
↵On Saturday, though, with the heat in Kansas City just miserable, Kendall gets a day off.
↵↵↵"With these days, as hot as it's going to be on back-to-back days, it's a good day to give Jason a day off," manager Ned Yost said. "I made that decision. He said, 'I just had a day off.' And I said, 'You've got another one.' "

We'll have to see what Royals Review thinks about two off days in one week for Mr. Kendall.
