It was 20 years ago today – July 10, 1990 – that Bret Saberhagen was the winning pitcher in the All-Star Game when the American League posted a 2-0 victory over the National League at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

Saberhagen retired six straight hitters while working the fifth and sixth innings. He got the victory when Julio Franco delivered a two-run double in the seventh inning.
