Yankees owner George Steinbrenner reportedly suffered a massive heart attack late Monday night and was rushed to a Tampa Hospital where he died at 6:30 a.m., according to multiple reports.

First and foremost he was devoted to his entire family – his beloved wife, Joan; his sisters, Susan Norpell and Judy Kamm, his children, Hank, Jennifer, Jessica and Hal; and all of his grandchildren.
↵“He was a visionary and a giant in the world of sports. He took a great but struggling franchise and turned it into a champion again.”

What a sad day. Even though a lot of us hated Steinbrenner, we all probably wished he was the owner of the team here in Kansas City. He'll go down in history as one of, if not the best owners in all of professional sports.
