Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop is entering his second year and unlike some of the other young Chiefs, he's not expected to make a major leap.
That's because he was already pretty good his rookie year. Succop connected on 25 of 29 field goals in 2009 for a success rate of 86.2%.
KFFL, a fantasy football site, ran down Succop's potential in 2010. One of the positives is that the Chiefs offense should be better in 2010 giving him more opportunities to kick. One of the downsides is that it's just his second year and there's only one season of stats to go from.
Here's what KFFL said about the Chiefs kicker in their 'Fantasy Tip':
You should feel comfortable taking Succop as your No. 1. Owners are typically drafting him as the 14th kicker off the board. If you want to secure your defense in the final two rounds, do that, then take Succop in the last round. We like him as a sleeper this year.
My money says he'll be better than the 14th best fantasy kicker.
