Former Jayhawks Safety Darrell Stuckey Thought He Might Be Playing In Kansas City To Start His NFL Career

Earlier this week, former Jayhawks safety Darrell Stuckey spoke at the SportKC PROPS event and actually thanked the Chiefs for getting the Monday Night Football season opener scheduled. This meant that his first NFL game would be in Kansas City since he's playing for the Chargers, the Chiefs opponent that night.

He talked with KUSports.com recently and said he thought he might be playing in Kansas City week one.

“It’s kind of a confirmation of a blessing in disguise,” Stuckey said of his upcoming NFL debut. “I kept hearing this woman in my ear, saying ‘You’re going to play in Kansas City in the NFL.’ And I always thought that meant I was going to play for the Chiefs. Not necessarily, but I am playing in Kansas City. So the hammer hit the nail right on.”

I guess if you're not playing for the Chiefs the next best thing would be to play against them on MNF to kick off your career.
