One of, if not the most famous member of the Mizzou family is former basketball coach Norm Stewart, who coached the Tigers for 32 years.
↵What does he think about the new setup in the Big 12?
↵↵↵"I think there is some concern," Stewart said. "Financially, when there is so many inequalities, you may have difficulty maintaining that."
↵
Translation: People will start whining about Texas soon enough (as if they're not already). Most folks seem to think this is not a long-term plan for the Big 12 and in anywhere from 1-5 years, we'll be back in the same spot.
↵I thought Stewart analogy of Tom Osborne and the Big Ten was pretty good:
↵↵Tom Osborne just beat everybody to the draw," Stewart said of the Cornhuskers' athletic director. "The good-looking girl just winked at the other guys, but the quarterback won the battle."
