Mizzou linebacker Tyler Crane is no longer a Mizzou linebacker a school spokesman confirmed on Monday. Via Dave Matter of the Columbia Tribune, Crane was "dismissed from the football team for undisclosed disciplinary reasons".
SB Nation's Rock M Nation is talking about the move but don't seem that concerned. He wasn't expected to be a major part of the team in 2010 but the news still comes as a surprise.
He played as a true freshman at defensive end in 2007 but redshirted in 2008 as he made the move to linebacker. He's played two full seasons.
Crane didn't respond to Matter's request for comment but Matter did note the last two updates on Crane's Twitter page:
Even in my hardest times God will still bless me
Know we belong on the top but we ain't trippin cuz we'll get there in a minute yea we'll get there in a minute
I suspect we'll find out what went down. Usually players don't keep too quiet in these situations.
