John Buck Returns To Kansas City, Royals Face Blue Jays

The Royals are starting a three-game set with the Blue Jays on Monday evening at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. For the Royals, it'll be Kyle Davies on the mound and the Blue Jays are sending out Brett Cecil.

Kyle Davies has been struggling big-time as of late not winning in his last seven starts. For the season, he's 4-6 with a 5.57 ERA.  Davies lost to the Blue Jays back on April 20 and is 1-2 lifetime against them with a 5.03 ERA in three starts.

Brett Cecil comes into the game with a 8-5 record and a 3.97 ERA. He's got a bit of a hot-hand having beaten the Twins before the All-Star break on one run and four hits over seven innings.

The other story of this series is the return of John Buck. The former Royals catcher is coming off of an All-Star game appearance (!) and recently said he's excited to return to Kansas City.

The Royals catcher situation is completely different than it was last year. Gone are Buck and Miguel Olivo and in is Jason Kendall.

Anyone wonder if Buck would be starting the number of games Kendall is if he were back in town.
