The latest word on Royals OF Rick Ankiel is that he'll return from the disabled list today. While there's no official word from the Royals yet, Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star passes along this nugget:
No official word yet from the Royals on any roster move, but Rick Ankiel just took early batting practice at Yankee Stadium.
Looks like Ankiel will be available. He was hurt way back in April.
The Royals face the Yankees this evening in New York.
