The Royals and Yankees are concluding their four-game series in the Bronx at 12:05 p.m. CDT this afternoon. Starting for the Royals is pitcher Sean O'Sullivan.
O'Sullivan was involved in the trade that sent Alberto Callaspo to the Angels this week.
Coincidentally, O'Sullivan's last start came against the Yankees.
And, yes, he did win that game so he has a chance to beat the Yanks two consecutive outings for two different teams. I bet that doesn't happen very often.
The other notable part of this game is Alex Rodriguez going for his 600th home run. He hit 599 against the Royals on Friday night and didn't capitalize on the opportunity to hit 600 on Saturday against Kyle Davies, the same pitcher that he got his 500th home run off of.
The Royals are hoping to even things up in the series. They lost on Thursday and Friday but held on for a victory on Saturday afternoon.
The Royals will get a good test against Phil Hughes, who is 11-3 with a 3.99 ERA this season.
