Chiefs Sign Second Round Picks Dexter McCluster, Javier Arenas

The Chiefs on Wednesday announced the signings of a pair of second round picks in Dexter McCluster and Javier Arenas.

Both players are now officially added to the roster and will be in training camp.

McCluster, out of Ole Miss, is expected to compete for the Chiefs starting slot receiver job with Jerheme Urban. He's been dubbed an "offensive weapon" and he figures to line up at a handful of positions including running back and wildcat.

Arenas, out of Alabama, seems to be in prime position to win the starting nickelback job. He comes from a Nick Saban coached team so that bodes well for his chances with the Scott Pioli-run Chiefs. Both men have connections to each other.

The Chiefs also announced the return of tight end Leroy Banks. He spent some time with the team during OTAs.
