The agent for Eric Berry has denied telling a Knoxville, TN reporter that he is close to a deal with the Chiefs.
That's not to say that they're not close but the agent is clarifying that he did not say that.
Camp starts this weekend so you gotta think the two sides are "close" in some fashion.
The reporter later clarified to me that he did not speak with Berry's agent, but a rep from the agency. He does, however, stand by his report that the two sides are close.
