Royals Draftee, College World Series Hero Returns To Rosenblatt

The Royals drafted Louis Coleman from LSU in the fifth round of the MLB draft last year. What makes his story unique is that he was the pitcher that closed out LSU's national championship at Rosenblatt Stadium for the College World Series last year.

He made his return to Rosenblatt this week, except as a Royal, in his AAA debut.

"Being back at Rosenblatt, that was pretty cool,'' Coleman said Monday at Zephyr Field, where the Royals were preparing to play the New Orleans Zephyrs.

Coleman is flying through the minor leagues after starting in A ball.

The most recent CWS hero, from South Carolina, is also going to be a Royals pitcher.
