This week, the late Quisenberry popped up in the news once again but not because of MODOT's mistake.â†µ
It was 31 years ago Tuesday – July 6, 1979 – that the Royals purchased the contract of relief pitcher Dan Quisenberry from Class AAA Omaha. He made his major-league debut two days later by pitching 2 2/3 scoreless innings in 4-2 loss to the Chicago White Sox at then-Royals Stadium.â†µ
