Here's your daily dose of Kansas City sports news....

Chiefs training camp rolls on

The Chiefs continued training camp in St. Joe with their new schedule. Because of the heat, they've moved the afternoon practice on two-a-days from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The big news of Monday was that Brian Waters returned to practice. He hadn't practice all training camp so it was good for the Chiefs to get him out there a week a few days before the preseason opener kicks off against former Mizzou LB Sean Weatherspoon and the Atlanta Falcons.

The Chiefs continue camp with a practice this afternoon, a two-a-day on Wednesday and then they're off to Atlanta for Friday night's game.

Royals drop one in Los Angeles

The Royals continued their west coast road trip by dropping one game in Los Angeles 6-4.

They staged a mini-rally late in the game scoring two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth but couldn't get it done.

Sean O'Sullivan gets the loss and Ervin Santana for the Angels gets the win.

Billy Butler went 2-for-4 and Yuniesky Betancourt went 3-for-3. No one else had a multi-hit game.

Who wins more games: Chiefs or Jayhawks?

This question was posed by a loyal reader of Rock Chalk Talk.

I gotta go with the Chiefs. They're moving up in the world with the new coordinators, a young defense taking a step and a couple of weapons around Matt Cassel now. The Jayhawks need to figure out who their quarterback is. I'm not excited for them in 1-2 years down the line once that line starts developing.
