Georgetown, Mizzou Basketball Meeting At The Sprint Center This Year

New, 2 comments

Mizzou will be in the house on Nov. 30 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO. They'll be facing off against Georgetown in the 2010 John McLendon Classic.

The game will be televised on ESPNU and kicks off at 8:00 p.m. (CT).

This is a good draw for the Tigers. They'll have the home crowd in Kansas City, just two hours from Columbia, but they're playing a national recognizable team in the Hoyas.

↵

This is the second time in history these two teams have met.

Georgetown and Missouri have met just once on the hardwood, with the Hoyas claiming a 63-51 win on Feb. 20, 1982 in Washington, D.C. Eric "Sleepy" Floyd dropped in 16 points and Patrick Ewing recorded a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double, while Ricky Frazier led the Tigers with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Georgetown advanced to the NCAA Tournament finals that season.
