Jason Whitlock of the Kansas City Star has been a staple in Kansas City since 1994 when he first arrived at the newspaper. He coined the term "King Carl" and was the loudest critic of the Peterson regime.
↵Whether you hated him or loved him, he was good for Kansas City sports.
↵That's why it's too bad to hear that Whitlock is leaving the Star to pursue other interests.
↵He was the guy in town everyone loved to hate but he could call out the local teams unlike anyone else.
↵Kansas City sports coverage just won't be the same anymore.
↵That's too bad.
