Royals GM Dayton Moore Feeling Good About 2010 MLB Draft Picks

The deadline to sign draft picks ended this week and the Kansas City Royals were able to get their 12 highest picks signed to a deal.

Once the players sign, they go right into the minor-league level so it was important to get them in early and put them out on the field to begin their development.

Royals GM Dayton Moore says he's feeling about their draft, according to FOX Sports KC.

"We feel good about all our drafts," said Moore who has been at the forefront of Royals drafts since 2007.  "Now it's just a matter of going out and letting these guys play and go through the challenges of professional baseball."

Christian Colon, the fifth overall pick, was the first of the top five picks to sign. Bryce Harper for the Washington Nationals went right down to the wire signing just before the deadline.

It's not a bad showing for the Royals. They've actually been doing well in the draft as of late, even if it's not showing on the major league level. Many pundits say the Royals have the best, or near the best, minor league talent in all of baseball.
