The Royals and White Sox game has been rained out.
On Friday night in Kansas City, rain came pouring in during the early evening.
The worst part of it all (as far as outdoor sports are concerned) was the lightning. There was quite a bit of lightning around the city.
The Royals and White Sox got to the bottom of the first with a man on before the game was called.
They'll be playing a double-header starting at 6:10 p.m. Saturday evening. They have to start after FOX's national broadcast from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Sean O'Sullivan was the starter on Friday night and, despite throwing 11 pitches, will not be the Saturday night starter.
"You’re looking at a young arm (in O’Sullivan)," manager Ned Yost said. "We set in (the office) and debated it for 20 minutes in trying to figure out what is the best thing.
"There’s no doubt he could come back, but we’re covered with (Phil) Humber. That’s what Humber is here for as a long guy."
