Forbes has come out with its yearly NFL team evaluations and the Kansas City Chiefs come in at 20th. Forbes, in its inexact science, says the Chiefs are worth $965 billion.
That number represents a drop of 6 percent from 2009. Only five other teams have seen their value drop more than the Chiefs, according to Forbes' numbers.
The Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and New England Patriots are the three most valuable franchises. The Cowboys top the list at an estimated worth of $1.8 billion.
Here's one list I find interesting: Operating income.
The first three make sense: Cowboys, Redskins and Patriots. The next three on the list are unlike the first three: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals and the Chiefs. The first three are the three most valuable and consistently sell out their games. The other three have trouble selling out and at least two of them haven't been good in several years.
It's a fascinating list -- if only estimated -- that's worth taking a look at.
