Lamar Hunt is not only the founder of the Kansas City Chiefs but also the Columbus Crew of MLS. This year the Chiefs remembered Hunt three years after his death with a statue in the Founder's Plaza of the New Arrowhead.
↵The Crew are taking a similar approach to remember their founder.
↵At today's Crew against FC Dallas, a statue of Hunt will be erected in the Crew Stadium plaza.
↵The Hunt family operates the Crew and FC Dallas, along with the Chiefs.
↵↵↵"It's especially great for the new people who are coming to the stadium or the new players that come to play for us who maybe don't know about him," Warzycha said. "People are coming with their kids, and those kids are going to ask who that giant guy is. They're going to learn who he was, and that's important."

Another statue of Hunt has been unveiled at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX.
