Over the last three months, Mizzou's reputation has taken a hit. The Tigers were targeted as the ones who got the conference realignment ball rolling with comments from officials and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon about moving to the Big Ten.
↵Mizzou head coach Gary Pinkel says the Mizzou football players feel the bullseye on them and they're ready to silence the trash talk.
↵↵↵“That’s natural for all those kids,” Pinkel said. “Of course they take it personally. They’ve got a lot of pride in where they’re from.
↵“When I first got here there wasn’t a whole lot of pride. It was kind of a blind pride. The best way to deal with things like this is we build our program. If you want to get respect from Nebraska, or anybody else, you win. Texas and Oklahoma? You want to get respect? You win. It’s not real complex.”

The best trash talk is always the final score. We'll see how Mizzou does this year.
