The Kansas City Chiefs rreleased WR Lance Long on Tuesday to get their roster down to 75 players before Tuesday afternoon's deadline.
Long originally came to the Chiefs from the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 16, 2009. He was activated in week seven and had eight receptions in his second game as a Chief.
The Chiefs on Sunday released four players: T/G Tyler Eastman, RB Kestahn Moore, TE Cody Slate and QB Bill Stull.
Long and Moore are the only two players that could be characterized as a slight surprise cut in the first round of roster trimming.
