Here's your daily dose of Kansas City sports news...
Chiefs first scrimmage is coming
The big news around the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend is their scrimmage. It's an intra-squad scrimmage so things won't be completely real but they'll be real enough for us to get some questions answered.
Todd Haley will put them in certain situations at times and there's no hitting the quarterback.
The action starts at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joe today.
Questions before the scrimmage include: The development of the defensive line, who lines up at inside linebacker, the secondary as a strength, Dexter McCluster doing it for real and Matt Cassel's progress.

Zack Greinke gives up six runs in seven innings
Bad timing for Greinke to have a bad game. A day after he made some comments that stirred things up in the Kansas City area, Greinke gave up six runs in seven innings in a 7-1 loss to the Mariners.
Before the game, Ned Yost responded to some of Greinke's comments and said the team isn't in a rebuilding phase.
The Royals continue on with another one against Seattle today.

Mizzou camp has its first injury
The first injury of the season: LB Donovan Bonner.
Mizzou's sophomore said on his Twitter page that he tore his ACL.
Mizzou reps confirmed the news and said he would have surgery.
That'll end his season.

Josh Selby the news at KU
Selby's eligibility question is the big news at KU.
Reports this week said the NCAA has yet to clear the soon-to-be KU freshman.
Bill Self issued a statement saying he doesn't comment on incoming recruits.
Except we found plenty of times he's commented on Selby.
Most folks are confident he'll be in school on time.
