Does Kansas Stand A Chance Against Georgia Tech?

Georgia Tech and Kansas will kick things off at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, KS at 11:00 a.m. The game can be seen on FSN.

Strength against strength

Georgia Tech's strength at this point is clearly the run game. They were just 2-of-8 passing last week but it didn't matter because they lead the country in rushing with 372 yards. KU's defensive strength -- through one game at least -- has been their run defense holding NDSU to 73 yards.

Freshman QB with little running game

KU's running game last week was horrendous. I mean, it was pretty bad and I'm usually pretty optimistic. Here's Tully Corcoran of the Topeka Capital Journal who explains it well:

The Kansas running backs averaged less than two yards per carry against North Dakota State, which seems almost impossible. An average of 3.5 yards against some team like Texas A&M would be bad. An average of 1.8 yards against Colorado would be embarrassing. An average of 1.8 yards against North Dakota State defies the imagination.

Yeah, so that means they'll have to lean on the quarterback, Jordan Webb.

Good thing KU hasn't had any quarterback issues this year.

Vegas says no chance for KU

The line is 14 points and the over/under is 49.5.

It's hard to disagree with that. Georgia Tech fans are calling for a much bigger victory over the Jayhawks.
