Mizzou is on pay-per-view this week and wants you to pay $40 to watch them play. Unfortunately there won't be a ton of people that will do that.
↵Why do schools do pay-per-view?
↵Sure it brings in a little cash but it also diminishes the size of the TV watching crowd and ultimately hurts Mizzou's relevance.
↵It's like websites that charge for you to view their content. Sure, it provides a short-term money grab but ultimately it hurts your traffic -- and thus your relevance -- putting a ceiling on your success. If you're in it for the long-term, it makes very little sense.
↵SB Nation's Rock Chalk Talk seems to think it's a little much, too.
↵↵↵Can you believe people are actually going to pay $40 to watch this game on PPV? Even Lew Perkins thinks that is outrageous.
↵
