The Kansas City Chiefs lost DE Tyson Jackson on Monday evening to some sort of leg injury in the second half. Jackson left the game with the help of the training staff and did not return.
610 Sports' Nick Wright reports that Jackson's injury is a sprained MCL in his left knee. That is expected to put him out 1-2 weeks, per Wright.
The only confirmation we'll likely see from the Chiefs will come in the form of the weekly injury report.
The news isn't as bad as it could have been. The Chiefs have a bye in week four so they could get him three weeks of rest.
DE Shaun Smith replaced Jackson when he left the game Monday night.
The Chiefs spent the third overall pick on Jackson in the 2009 draft.
