More and more details are coming out in the case(s) of former Mizzou RB Derrick Washington.
He's most recently been accused of hitting an ex-girlfriend, which landed him two charges of domestic assault, a class A misdemeanor.
The details of the night, per the police report via Dave Matter of the Columbia Tribune, are a little messed up.
The alleged victim told Washington to leave “at least 50 times,” but he refused and instead grabbed her by the throat and forced her onto her bed. The alleged victim said Washington choked her for approximately 10 seconds then pinned her arms over her head and hit her multiple times in the face, giving her a bloody nose, swollen lips and bruised forehead. The ex-girlfriend said she bit Washington on the hand to get him to stop. At one point, he pressed two fingers into her eye sockets, which led to hemorrhaging in her left eye, according to the report.
Perhaps the most disturbing is this quote from Washington, which he told police on the night in question: “I did not hit her because if I did, she would still be asleep.”
Matter also reports Washington is not enrolled at Mizzou this semester meaning his athletic scholarship is now gone. Mizzou previously let him keep his athletic scholarship even if he wasn't on the team.
