Mike McCarthy, Packers Donate $100,000 To Baker University

Mike McCarthy, Green Bay Packers head coach, went to Baker University and he's very grateful for that.

So once again he's shown that appreciation in the form of a $100,000 donation from the Packers.

“My experiences at Baker University were very meaningful to me and my family, both on and off the field,” said McCarthy, whose Packers visit the Chiefs in a preseason game tonight. “Charlie Richard, who has passed, was an outstanding coach and had an excellent program at the time. Dan Harris, who just retired as athletic director, was offensive coordinator when I was there. "

It'll go to the football program and help generate a scholarship for a Juco transfer, like McCarthy was.

McCarthy, by the way, previously was an assistant coach for the Chiefs.
