Sitting At 3-0, Mizzou Football Looks To Miami (Oh.)

The 2010 Mizzou football season is getting off to the start that most of us figured it would. After three games, they're sitting at 3-0 and looking to make it 4-0 against Miami (Oh.).

The RedHawks are 2-1 and they'll travel to Faurot Field to face Mizzou for the first time in history. Kickoff is at 1:07 p.m.

Mizzou, ranked 24th in USA Today's top 25 college football poll, is coming off of a tougher-than-originally-thought game against San Diego State.

Under Gary Pinkel, Mizzou is 7-2 against MAC schools. Pinkel has faced Miami (Oh.) seven times in his career (all while at Toledo) and went 3-3-1.

Mizzou is also looking to win their school-record 21st consecutive non-conference game. They haven't lost a non-conference game since 2005 (also the last time they missed an extra point).

For Mizzou, the keys are simple. They need to run their offense as they have been and turn this game into a shootout. There aren't many teams that can compete with Mizzou when they do that. They'll also need to continue to force turnovers. They forced nine turnovers in the first two games and just one against San Diego State. The first two games were blowouts and San Diego State was not.
