Dexter McCluster's Fantasy Value Improves With Jerheme Urban Injury

Kansas City Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster is a pretty popular topic of conversation right now. That's because many fantasy football leagues are holding their drafts this week.

McCluster's name has been been brought up because he's been playing a few positions including receiver, running back and kick returner. He's done is surprisingly well so early (though it's preseason.

McCluster appeared to have a strong hold on the slot receiver job. He had been lining up there regularly during training camp and preseason. Jerheme Urban was a receiver that was in competition with him. Unfortunately for Urban, he was placed on IR over the weekend ending his season.

It also ends a receiver with a legitimate chance to take snaps away from McCluster. In the end, this will probably cause McCluster to see a few more balls than he normally would have.

In other words, if you were on the fence about signing McCluster in your fantasy league (and had already looked at his impressive running back stats), this probably helps confirm that he would be a decent fantasy football option.
