Kansas City Royals first baseman Billy Butler took a few days off a week ago to get over a minor injury. Those pesky injuries won't go away as Butler left Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Twins with a hand injury.
In the Twins half of the third, Butler took a bad hop on a ground ball on first injuring his hand. The Royals are calling it a bruise to his right hand at the moment.
The Royals announced the x-rays were negative so there seemingly won't be any long-term effects from the injury.
He'll be reevaluated tomorrow to determine when he'll be back.
Kila Ka'aihue took Butler's spot at first base.
