Former KU Staffer Delays Sentencing In Ticket Scandal

Former KU official Jason Jeffries pleaded guilty in July to knowingly hiding the ticket scam at Kansas from officials. Now that he's admitted his guilt, the government wants him on their side.

Jeffries asked a judge on Wednesday to delay the sentencing in his case.

Per KUSports.com, this means:

Wednesday's motion says the government has agreed to allow Jeffries to earn a reduction in sentencing in exchange for his help in the ongoing investigation and prosecution of ticket improprieties at the university.

Basically, you help us with names and details of the operation and we won't be so harsh on you.

His sentencing won't go down until prosecutors finish up the remainder of their case, which could take up to six months.
