Mizzou DE Aldon Smith showed early in the 2010 season why he's on the watch list for the Bednarik Award.
10 tackles and two sacks against Illinois -- oh and a player of the week award -- is a good reason he's on that list.
Simply put, he's dominating.
If Smith can do that against Illinois, then what can he do against McNeese State?
"This is college football and anybody can beat anybody," said Smith. "We keep that in mind every time we practice and when we will prepare for McNeese this weekend."
That's what he's supposed to say. Realistically, he could do even better. If he's going to be a legitimate candidate on a watch list like the Bednarik Award then he needs to dominate statistically in these early games.
Momentum is going his way and it's the home opener. We'll see what happens 6:00 p.m. Saturday.
