Jordan Webb becomes the starter at KU
Kansas Jayhawks head coach Turner Gill held a quarterback competition late into the offseason and finally chose Kale Pick only a couple weeks before the season.
In the first game, Pick didn't look very good -- and neither did Webb, frankly -- losing 6-3 to North Dakota State. So Gill made a chance announcing Jordan Webb would be the starter against Georgia Tech on Saturday.
Two starters in two weeks isn't a good thing. Quarterback is a position that has a lot of mental aspects to it and now Webb knows that if he has one bad game, he'll be yanked just like Pick.
KU's in big trouble this year.

Chiefs getting the city ready for Monday Night Football
The Chiefs are getting Kansas City ready for Monday Night Football. Here are a few things they're doing:
- Player autographs at a back to football at Arrowhead -- 5:45 - 6:45 Thursday night.
- Red Friday -- fountains going red and big buildings lighting up red.
- Be in your seats 30 minutes before the start of the MNF game for a surprise.
Here's a little more info on it all.

Greinke loses to the Twins, again
The other day I noted that Zack Greinke has lost his last three starts to the Twins giving up 18 runs and 23 hits in 14 innings.
This time around it wasn't quite bad but he still got the loss.
Greinke went the complete game -- his second complete game loss of the year -- and the Royals ninth inning rally fell short giving the Twins the 4-3 win and the series sweep.
I wonder why they're in first place....
