Jacob Pullen and the Kansas State Wildcats are 13-7 on the season and 1-4 in the Big 12 after a lot of folks picked them to win the conference. Their two best players have been suspended at one point this season and they've lost four of their last five games.
They need some good news and they'll see if they can get it against the Baylor Bears on Monday night. As part of ESPN's Big Monday schedule, Kansas State will host Baylor at Bramlage Coliseum at 8:00 p.m. (CT) this evening. Baylor is 3-2 in the Big 12 and 13-5 overall as they look to move up in the conference standings.
The good news for K-State is that they're favored to win by five points. After losing four of their last five, that's a bit of a surprise. Those four losses came against teams like Missouri and Texas A&M as well as Colorado and Oklahoma State.
"We just need a win," senior guard Jacob Pullen said. "Big Monday, Big Tuesday, Big Saturday, it doesn't matter anymore. We've just got to find a way to get a win."
I'll be picking Kansas State in this game because at some point I think they need to turn this thing around. We know what talent K-State has on their roster and you would think it's only a matter of time before they go on a roll. Kansas State needs to win games like this because they still have a tough conference schedule ahead with two games against Kansas, one against Missouri and against Texas.
It'll be Kansas State and Baylor on ESPN tonight at Bramlage Coliseum. Check out Bring On The Cats for more on the game.
